After my computer died, I thought that I would have to buy the full price program from CDE Software and enter the entire league information from scratch onto the new computer. But YOU saved the day! I'm very grateful that you suggested that I download my league data from leaguesecretary.com... It saved me the time & expense of doing everything again and eliminated the fear of making a typo error.
I have a 16 team league of 4 members each that have bowled together for many years. I can remember the 'thrill' of weekly secretary chores of entering scores manually on a spread sheet, calculating the new average per bowler, and then typing the weekly Standing Sheet. Now life is much easier with CDE Software -- I have standing sheets, achievement award applications, and the league cash reconciled.
With some help from CDE Software tech support and discussion boards, I have been able to upload our league standing sheets to leaguesecretary.com on a weekly basis for several years. I have always felt it a benefit to my bowlers to be able to see their bowling standings within hours of finishing the day's bowling. BUT, I now realize the biggest benefit was to me to have my entire league backed up and available on demand. It was a very simple procedure to retrieve all the records in a short time with easy to follow instructions. (I didn't even need tech support!)
I would recommend to all league secretaries to start uploading their standing sheets to leaguesecretary.com as a service to their bowlers AND to themselves...
