I know the order for awards is as follows: High Average, High Scratch Series, High Scratch Game, High Handicap Series and High Handicap Game, but I want to know where the Most Improved Bowler award would end up in the order of awards given out.

See rule 54a of your USBC rulebook.
"The award is to be given to the bowler who is eligible, regardless of how many league awards the bowler qualified for".
Also, there is no firm rule for the order of awards. Some leagues rate series over game, some game over series. Most leagues do not include high average as a part if the limit of 1 award per bowler. They just use high game & series and high average is separate from the game awards.

In our leagues we use the Scratch & Handicao /Game/Series-
A motion was made in our meeting-because the previous year I did not have any direction other than only 1 individual award to a bowler.
Now I don't have to worry about the order- Our rules state
Hdcp Series / Scratch Series / Hdcp Game / Scratrch Game
On our weekly standing sheet - I list all of the top 3 (Actual highs) and then I have selected the above (4) procedures to follow for the yearly highs
This a good way, because everyone that is in the top 3 (No matter how many times /and in which catagory/ If their scores are in the top 3 then they get their name/score for each catagory.
It is important to get your league involved in how the awards are to be given out. Just food for thought Good Luck
