Important Notes About Discontinued Operating System Notes:
No software company can effectively support any software for an operating system that the vendor is no longer selling, providing patches, addressing security issues, documenting or supporting. As of June, 2006, Microsoft officially dropped complete support for the Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows NT operating systems.
Because of the added capabilities and Vista operating system support, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT operation and installation can no longer be supported. If you have a system using these operating systems, upgrade the operating system to Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Windows 2000 or purchase a newer system with a supported operating system.
